Internet Speeds and Costs Around the World
A graphical representation of how the US compares in online access and costs – why are we paying so much for so little? The US falls right in the middle of the chart (#15), at about $3.33 per month for 1mbps – compare that to Poland at $13.00 and Japan at $0.27! Japan’s average connection speed is 61mbps. The US is a paltry 4.8mbps.
It’s interesting to hear buzzwords in local marketing for “blazing” and “fast” internet connections. Are they really?
